Taking GSUS Live Lessons to schools in November!

Dear friends!

Towards the end of 2021 we piloted the new classroom based version of GSUS Live in local schools for Counties UK (owners of GSUS Live resource).

GSUS Live helps secondary school students explore the themes of fear, forgiveness and rejection through the teachings of Jesus.

This November we will again be using the resource to run 60 minute lessons with every year 7, 8 and 9 student in the schools we visit.

GSUS Live is currently confirmed to visit both Bourne Academy and Hampton Gardens secondary schools for a week each at the end of November / start of December.

CROPS team alongside local youth workers, clergy and laity will work together to present these lessons that speak of the relevance of the message and person of Jesus for young people today.

Previous Feedback

"Students reported that they really loved doing something different. They gave great feedback to the facilitators who were extremely friendly, enthusiastic and were able to respond to the wide range of questions that the sessions provoked"

PRAY for GSUS LIVE!

Please pray that:

  • These visits will help build strong relationships between CROPS, local secondary schools and churches.
  • Students will see how Jesus’ teachings are relevant today, especially through the stories of the three teenage characters featured in the programme.
  • The presenter team would answer questions asked in the plenary time with wisdom and grace.
  • RE staff would feel GSUS Live adds value to the learning of students.
  • The lessons might start a process that leads to a life changing experience for many students.

Please be praying for us and our team as we prepare for the return of GSUS Live to Peterborough!

Yours in Christ.
