This year we are excited to announce that we have one of the best Christian hip-hop groups in the UK, 29th Chapter (www.29thchapter.com)!! They will also be supported by Norwich based band Kairos (www.kairos-band.co.uk).

We started off on Friday over at KingsGate for a night of crazy games and competitions (including a Space Hopper relay race, sumo wrestling, and a mixture of brain-teasing challenges!). On Saturday during the day, a team of Street Invaders and leaders went to Welland Primary School and built some raised seedbeds for the children to use. It was a great afternoon of hard work, but the team did a fantastic job.

Then, on the Saturday evening we came together for a special Street Invasion Reunion edition of The Point, with guest speaker Mark Tuma (Norwich YFC Director). Mark spoke to us about the importance of “running the race” with Christ, not competing with other people, and being focussed on finishing the race!

We’re looking forward to Street Invasion 2010, which will be here 3-7 August. Sign-up flyers are now available , and will be sent out to your local churches very soon! More details will be available online soon.

Planning is now happening for a special Street Invasion Reunion Weekend, set for April 9/10th. The weekend will involve a reunion party, community action project plus evening celebration! God has done some fantastic work over the week and we’re looking forward to seeing Him continue that work. We’ll have the highlights video and some photos online soon too…!

In the meantime we’re back to the usual work – the November Point is fast approaching, our various school clubs are back in full swing, planning has begun for the New Year’s Eve celebration at the Cathedral, and we’re working to get our website fully up-to-date!
